Hi all,
Thank you for your support!
The doctor’s appointment was ok. It is HPV- eww! Very common, but not nice.
I need to go back for another test in 12 months as it may clear up by itself within that time.
If it hasn’t they will need to treat it as 70% of cases (of certain strains of the virus) lead to cervical cancer if not treated (over many years).. It's worth monitoring it!
So it’s good news, annoying… but good..

4 of you love me enough to comment...:
great to hear it's nothing more serious.
take care of yourself ash!
K :)
Sorry, I'm going anon because my questions are embarrassing!
Aren't you married? How do you get HPV??? Just that if I got it, I'd be wanting some answers. I've been with my bf for 3 years now, so for me to get what I've always thought was an STD would freak me out! I guess because I had a full STD screen before we stopped using protection, I didn't think any nasties would appear now.
I don't know much about HPV at all!
Something else I'llhave togoogle. I've never heard of HPV.
After jumping forward to your latest post though, it seems as though you know what's going on and thankfully it isn't a sentence for life. Phew.
Better than that - at least you have a clear answer to your health worries.
Sorry I didn't post earlier, but I'm glad to hear all is ok. Definitely something to keep an eye on.
My smear 2 years ago showed some very early changes but the one I just had was all normal so I'm sure you will be just fine.
And well done on all your exercise and running of late. You are doing so well. I love reading your blog. Just slack at commenting sometimes.
